Arles - Fete des Gardians

As part of the Arles Mayday celebrations, a "Grand Spectacle Provencal" is staged in the Roman arena. Cowboys, cowgirls, horses and bulls show their skills with demonstrations and games.

From trying to snatch a ribbon from the bull's horns, to trying to snatch a bouquet from an opposing horseman, or even an orange from a plate while you are galloping full-trot - it's all good fun (but maybe the bulls don't enjoy it so much because they seem to get very mad!).
