The Rouen Clock

The Rouen Clock is one of the oldest clock mechanisms in Europe which has been in operation since the 14th Century. The actual bit that makes the clock run is housed in a tower alongside the clock face - there's a mechanical connection between the two (and the bells at the top of the tower) which keeps the citizens of Rouen on time. Everyone in Rouen seems to be moving faster than us - well, we are in holiday mode.

There's about 100 steps to the top of the tower, but you get a nice view.
