Poble Espanyol, Barcelona

Built in 1929 to showcase Spain's architecture and culture for the Barcelona International Exposition of that year, Poble Espanyol presents a neat package for the time-poor visitor. Here you can see a sample of Spain's fine architecture with designs sourced from all over the country.

You can see artisans at work (glass blowers, leather, jewellry etc) and get an authentic meal at one of the many restaurants. You can even get an audio guide that explains everything as you walk around.
